An Interview with Janet from Inspired, between the pines

Janet Setter is the creative designer and maker at inspired, between the pines.  Working from her studio in northern New Jersey, Janet says her designs are nature and yoga inspired, and SPIRIT infused.

Chances are, if you've ever been in our store, you've stopped to admire her beautiful, handcrafted sterling silver designs, accented by rose and yellow gold. It's hard not to feel her good vibes when wearing one of her pieces.

Janet spends a lot of time in the outdoors and is also a certified outdoor guide. We've been out on the trails with her and can attest that her jewelry looks as great with hiking boots as it does with heels!

Knowing Janet and her cheerful spirit brings even more joy when wearing her beautiful designs.  We've asked her a few questions here, so that you can get to know her and her amazing company too...

Q: What did you do before founding inspired?

I was Manufacturer's Rep in the Automotive Aftermarket. I sold brake pads, antifreeze, oil, headlights and many more replacement parts for automobiles; I love cars too!

Q: What inspired you to start making jewelry?

A career change, and a visit to an Eastern Oregon Silversmith. I started simply and decidedly kept it simple, challenging myself to use sterling (mostly wire) in ways to create lasting pieces of jewelry that you could wear all the time.

Q: Explain Inspired in five words or less.

Explore, adventure, appreciate, share, inspire.

Q: What is your favorite thing about living in New Jersey?

Blueberry season, and the access to the outdoors whether it be in the mountains, or the city.
